The Contractor shall reduce the use of pesticides in accordance with the Army Pollution Prevention Program.
1.2 The IPM shall also offer surveillance, trapping, pesticide application, pest removal components, and applicable reporting along with detailed site-specific recommendations for structural and technical alterations, for pest control indoor and outdoor, within the property boundaries of the buildings. The contract has historically included treatment of indoor and outdoor insects and nuisance pests such as termites, mosquitoes, cockroaches, ants, centipedes, millipedes, spiders, mice, birds (pigeons in buildings), and other vertebrate pests. Abatement of these insects and vermin should be specifically addressed under this contract; they may be found in any building or on any grounds at the Watervliet Arsenal. Domestic animals are excluded from this work.
3. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: The Contractor shall utilize Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques to achieve long-term, environmentally sound pest suppression using a wide variety of technological and management practices for the facility within the scope described herein. Create a process that initializes a program that determines the best method of application (chemical and non-chemical) after a thorough inspection, monitoring, and reviewing the data collected regarding the pest, to put in place control measures for environmentally safe treatment. Pest control services shall be performed in accordance with all pertinent federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
4. BASIC SERVICES
