About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document addressing clarifications for the ISF DC Power solicitation at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). The document confirms equipment quantities for the VERTIV NetSure 8200 DC Power System, including 6 power systems, 4 Network Control Units, 4 main combination bays, 2 supplemental combination bays, 6 AC cabinets, 6 480-volt option kits, 36 circuit breakers, and 36 four-position lug adapter kits. Part number 582140600 is identified as an internal Vertiv assembly or subcomponent for the ISF DC Power with a quantity of two units; further details on configuration are not specified in the Q&A response.

Installation responsibilities are clearly delineated, with WSMR responsible for equipment receipt, storage, movement on base, interconnection of equipment, and final acceptance. Vertiv or a verified authorized vendor is responsible for floor mounting, positioning, anchoring, integration, software configuration, startup, testing, and commissioning of the power plant's internal operations, with external device connections managed by WSMR. Commercial AC power infrastructure is already in place with a 1200-amp breaker panel, and cable runs are being installed for interconnections. Vertiv will determine required certifications and authorization for contractor personnel. Delivery is FOB destination to White Sands Missile Range, Transportation ATEC 1870, Aberdeen, NM 88002-5000, with site visit availability to be determined. Warranty is specified as one year or longer if manufacturer warranties exceed that period. Partial shipments and invoicing are authorized, and installation may commence before all equipment arrives.

1A. The repetition is intentional. The manufacturer divided the items into each Rectifier cabinet. Each cabinet contains components that may be the same.

2. Missing description: Please provide the description and required configuration for PN 582140600, quantity two.

2A. 582140600 is an internal Vertiv part identifier, not a retail SKU. This is an assembly, subcomponent, or contract‑specific configurations for the ISF DC Power. All requested parts can be assemblies, subcomponents, contract‑specific configurations or standalone requests for the ISF DC Power.

3. Installation scope: Please provide the detailed installation Statement of Work, including contractor responsibilities for unloading, positioning, anchoring, wiring, cabling, grounding, integration, software configuration, startup, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance.

Vertiv or a verified authorized vendor shall be responsible for mounting the equipment to the floor in the new DC Power spaces only. Pricing was based on all equipment being mounted on a slab floor. WSMR will be responsible for interconnecting all the equipment for proper operation.

Installers see revised SOW for required WSMR training and access to WSMR.

Vertiv or a verified authorized vendor shall test and turn-up will be limited to the internal operation of the power plant. Any external connected devices i.e., EPO switches, IP connections or alarms will be the responsibility of WSMR. The test and turn-up can be performed on the same deployment without any down time. Otherwise, If a return trip is required test and turn-up will also be required.

Vertiv or a verified authorized vendor shall be responsible for positioning, anchoring, integration, software configuration, startup, testing, and commissioning.

Final acceptance will be in charge of WSMR management and DC Power Project POC.

4. Existing infrastructure: Please identify which AC/DC electrical infrastructure, conduit, conductors, cabling, grounding, breakers, terminations, battery systems, and supporting equipment will be Government-furnished or already installed.

4A. Commercial AC Power is in place connected to a 1200Amp breaker panel that will feed the rectifier cabinets. Cable runs are being installed to interconnect the Rectifier cabinets with the BDFB's and to the end equipment cabinets and the Batteries to the Rectifier cabinets.

5. VERTIV authorization: Must the contractor and installation technicians be VERTIV-authorized or factory-certified? If so, please identify the required certification or authorization documentation.
