ATTACHMENT 4 – SAMPLE TASKS

1. Installation Restoration Program/ Military Munition Response Program (IRP/MMRP).

SAMPLE TASK: Removal action to remove munitions from future construction site within the cantonment areas (MMRP). Record of Decision (ROD) recommended a site to be remediated for unexploded ordnance

(UXO).

The contractor is required to perform the following tasks:

a. Prepare all documents for approval: remedial design, Health and Safety Plan, Site Safety Plan for Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board (DDESB) approval.

b. Coordinate with Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOC), Directorate of Emergency Services (DES), Directorate of Public Works (DPW), Public Affairs Office (PAO).

c. Perform the work.

d. Right an after action report/ a closure report.

2. Compliance Support.

SAMPLE TASK: Preparation of hazardous waste permit renewal package. Work will include preparation of new Part A application; verification and updating of information for existing permitted units; gathering of information for new unit(s); re-accomplishment of human health and ecological risk assessments for Open Burn/Open Detonation (OB/OD) units; and preparation of formal justification for continued reliance on OB/OD technology, and completion of part B application.

3. Cultural Resources.

SAMPLE TASK: Prepare 106 report for proposed renovations to potentially historical structures. Section 106 Compliance Report is a concise report for historic building design project submissions required under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The report includes captioned photographs of existing conditions, reduced drawings of the preservation design solutions, and a concise narrative describing the project's preservation design issues and justifying the proposed solutions.

4. Natural Resources.

SAMPLE TASK: Develop best management practices (BMPs) to promote wild pollinator health. The BMPs identify key steps that APG can take to improve the quality of habitat for pollinators including 1) adjusting vegetation management techniques to accommodate pollinator resource needs, 2) enhancing and restoring native vegetation to include plant materials that improve pollinator habitat, and 3) incorporating native plants and pollinator habitat needs into landscape design.

5. National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

SAMPLE TASK: Perform mitigation monitoring. Review past NEPA documentation for mitigation requirements and evaluate if the mitigation has occurred, remains to be completed; was it on-time and if it has been effective.
