The following are questions and answers asked for W564KV‐16‐T‐0035, Amendment 0005 on August 24, 2016.

1) If offering Equal to Brand Name, should the vendor offer model best resembling the model referenced, or model meeting the salient characteristics? If conflict, which one takes precedence?

Answer: Equal model should meet the salient characteristics listed in the solicitation.

2) Brand name model for CLIN0006, Speed Queen AWN432S is not an export model made for 220 Volt~50 Hertz and approved for use within EY, but a model with 120V~60Hz approved for use in the US.

That means that model does not meet the requirements. Please provide a reference model of 220 Volt~50 Hertz version.

Answer: Changed to Speed Queen LWN311 SP301 NW22

3) Brand name models for CLIN0003, Frigidaire FFTR1713LW and Westinghouse WWTR1611S are not an export model made for 220 Volt~50 Hertz and approved for use within EY, but a model with 120V~60Hz approved for use in the US. Please see for reference the following links (all list voltage of the model as 120V~60Hz.):

Answer: Changed to Frigidaire MRA17V6HW or GE, GTS16DTHWW

4) Page 7 of the amended Solicitation document states that “For the purposes of evaluation only, neither brand name product quoters, nor equal product quoters, need to demonstrate in their quotations that the proposed appliances contain or bear English language instructions, inscriptions, or stickers.”

Does it mean that offerors do not have to include with the offer the manuals of the models quoted?

Please clarify.

Answer: If it's the model offered then we don't require the doc's with the quote. If it's equal then we will need everything included with the quote.

5) Page 7 of the amended Solicitation document states that “The delivered appliances must satisfy all of the Technical Specifications and Salient Characteristics contained in the

Request for Quotes (RFQ) in order to be accepted by the Government pursuant to FAR Clause 52.212‐ 4(a).

If offeror quotes a model that is brand name or equal but delivers different model that does not meet the technical specifications and salient characteristics, will such award be cancelled and product rejected at destination?

Answer: If the product don't meet spec then it will be rejected at destination.

6) Specifications of US Laundry dryer on page 28 of the amended solicitation document do not list power cord requirement for the dryer. Should the offered model have a power cord included or not?

Answer: The power cords are cut and replaced so the customer did not find the need to specify the type of plug. You can submit dryers with any type of plug (or without) because it will be replaced after receipt

7) Do previously provided answers apply to the amended solicitation or not?

Answer: If the answer hasn't changed then it will apply. If the amended solicitation changes the question then it won't apply.
