AMENDMENT 0003 to RFQ W52P1J-20-Q-CHMB Issued March 5, 2020
1. The purpose of Amendment 0003 to RFQ W52P1J-20-Q-CHMB is to share questions received from Contractors in response to this solicitation, and the respective answers from the Government
Q1: “Will you please provide the model and serial numbers of the 14 chambers requiring the preventative maintenance and repair services?”
A1: Both the model number and serial number for each respective chamber are provided within the Performance Work Statement document (i.e., Attachment 0001) associated with solicitation W52P1J-20-Q-CHMB. All attachments associated with the solicitation can be downloaded from the beta.sam.gov website.
Q2: “Are we to quote our travel expense in the base bid or do they get reimbursed?”
A2: Travel costs shall be factored into the proposed labor rates.
Q3: “Regarding number 4 on the W52P1J-20-Q-CHMB, solicitation: The corresponding NAICS code is 811219; the small business size standard is $22,000,000.00; and the Service Code is J011. As a company we did over this amount last year but by employee count we are considered a small business.
Would this disqualify us?”
A3: This solicitation allows for full and open competition and therefore, your company does not need to be a small business to be eligible to submit a quote in response to this solicitation.
Q4: “I don’t see anything about calibrations but I did see in the PM check list you would like us to check the controller accuracy and adjust accordingly. Can you please clarify.”
A4: The PWS has been revised to reflect the following changes.
a) Section 5.1 in the PWS, titled “Control Panel”, has been removed.
b) A new requirement has been added to the “Electrical System” category of the “Thorough Systems and Components Checklist” in Section 5 of the
PWS. The new requirement requires Awardee to “Verify the over-temperature limit in the controller functions properly.”
2. The deadline to submit a quote in response to this solicitation has been extended until 8:00 a.m. central time, Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
3. Interested Quoters are required to sign and submit a copy of this Amendment with the quote package.
4. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged. Should you have questions or concerns regarding this amendment, please contact the Contract Specialist at angela.m.hambleton.civ@mail.mil.
