About this file
This document is a set of questions and answers related to the solicitation for PSXE 242029 Repair TEC Recreational Areas, Solicitation Number W50S98-24-B-0008. The solicitation is being issued by the Department of the Army Tennessee Army National Guard.
The key details are that the government recommends bidding on a traditional 4-inch thick cast-in-place concrete slab with welded wire mesh, rather than the post-tensioned concrete pavement shown in the drawings, as the cast-in-place option would be more economical for the required foot traffic. The solicitation includes drawings, specifications, and statements of work. Interested parties must submit base access requests to TSgt Morelock and SSgt Phipps, and a site visit is scheduled for August 30, 2024 at 2 PM as detailed in section 00 21 00 of the solicitation.

W50S98-24-B-0008 PSXE 242029 Repair TEC Recreational Areas Pre-Bid Questions
1. On drawing C2.3, detail A11 shows a post-tensioned concrete pavement. This method would be significantly more costly than a traditional cast in place 4" inch thick concrete slab with welded wire mesh. If it is anticipated to have foot traffic only then we would recommend a traditional cast in place 4" inch thick concrete slab with welded wire mesh for a more economical cost than a post-tension slab.
Please bid per the drawings and specifications.
