W50S9624QA011 – Dining Hall & Gym Cleaning Services Question and Answer
Amendment 2 – 26 January 2024
Question 0022: Since QnA1 clarified the gym cleaning requirement is only one day per week, will the gym be closed during cleaning? If so, for how long?
Response 0022: There will be a notice on the door to alert patrons that the gym is closed for cleaning. If patrons try to use the gym during these times and it becomes a problem we will address it further. If the problem persists we will consider locking the door during the cleaning time.
Question 0023: Will there be air fryers that need cleaning?
Response 0023: There are no air fryers to clean. Also, contractor employees will not be expected to clean the deep fryers.
Question 0024: Regarding 5.1.4 Equipment Cleaning - interior walls, floors and ceiling will be cleaned daily.
Can you explain the ceiling cleaning? Will there be equipment provided for the contractor to reach the ceiling?
How high is the ceiling?
Response 0024: The ceiling does not normally require cleaning. If it should require cleaning for some reason i.e., something splatters on it, then a tall folding ladder will be provided. The ceiling height is 10’.
Question 0025: Did the last contract end because services were no longer needed?
Response 0025: The previous contractor struggled to provide satisfactory service due to apparent staffing issues. This resulted in the contract being terminated for convenience by the Government.
Question 0026: Is there any other information not listed in the PWS from the site visit that is pertinent for others subs who missed the visit to know?
Response 0026: Please see Site Visit Notes posted with Amendment 0001.
End of Amendment 2 Q&A.
