About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) tracker document that consolidates and deduplicates contractor-submitted questions regarding the OPS Blue Room AV Upgrade solicitation. The RFIs have been organized into answered/SOW-resolved questions and pending questions requiring formal government review.
Key Project Requirements: The scope involves upgrading audiovisual systems in a presentation room with a single Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE) laptop input via BYOD model (no dedicated desktop computers or docking stations). The contractor must provide a 1.2-pitch dvLED wall display measuring approximately 163-180 inches diagonal with 16:9 aspect ratio, mountable to a redesigned wall engineered with 2"x6" framing and 1/2" drywall. A rear-mounted projector (hanging or surface-mount, no motorized screen) serves as the confidence display. The podium will contain one touch panel control interface, a wired microphone with push-to-talk capability, XLR inputs at stage left and right for additional microphones, and a minimum 10-port power strip. Eight system outputs are required: front screen, podium screen, confidence monitor, program audio to in-house speakers, microphone audio to speakers, distant-end audio receive/send, and logo to screens.
Critical Constraints and Clarifications: No video conferencing, cameras, wireless microphones, or VTC capabilities are permitted. The system must operate as a completely non-networked, closed-loop configuration with no connections to government networks; however, isolated local control networks connecting the processor, DSP, and touch panel are permitted. Equipment must not contain physical Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or wireless chips/transmitters (firmware-disabled components are unacceptable). Classified connectivity is limited to local presentation only. The contractor is responsible for framing, drywall, carpentry, painting, and finish work associated with mounting the LED display, while the government handles architectural modifications and rear-projection opening reconstruction under a separate contract. The contractor must identify electrical and power requirements; the government provides facility infrastructure. Equipment racks should ideally remain minimal within the podium, coordinated with government at installation. No acoustic treatment, custom podium fascia design, lighting control integration, or stage curtain demolition are required.

Request for Information (RFI)
Tracker: OPS Blue Room AV Upgrade This document serves as the consolidated, deduplicated tracking log for all contractor-submitted Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding the OPS Blue Room AV Upgrade solicitation.
To facilitate an efficient review, the RFIs are audited, cross-referenced with the
| Statement of Work (SOW), and organized into two primary sections: Section | I: | ||||||
| Answered | & | SOW‐Resolved | RFIs and Section | II: | Remaining | Pending | RFIs (which |
require formal government review and response).
Section I: Answered & SOW-Resolved RFIs The following questions have been fully addressed by prior government clarifications, official responses, or explicit directives found within the project's Statement of Work (SOW).
A. Government Responses to RFIs
1. Source Devices, Laptop Connectivity, & Podium Configuration
| Government‐Furnished | Equipment | (GFE) | vs. | Contractor‐Furnished |
| Equipment | (CFE) |
Question: Please confirm that references to NIPR PCs, SIPR laptop connectivity, and other presentation sources identify interface points for GFE rather than contractor-furnished computer systems or classified systems.
Government Response: Confirmed. All computer source equipment connected to the system is Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). The contractor is responsible for providing the appropriate interface points such as HDMI and/or USB via either extender or female cable termination if a cable length without an extender is within connected equipment manufacturer and industry standards inside the podium.
Docking Stations & Stationary PCs
Question: Where will the three source PCs (1 unclassified PC, 1 unclassified
PC 2, and 1 SIPR PC) physically reside? Will they be dedicated computers or BYOD docking connections?
Government Response: There should be one BYOD interface point, no docking station. Any future BYOD docking station will be provided by the Government to ensure compatibility. There are no stationary, dedicated equipment PCs in the room; users will plug in laptops rather than utilizing permanent desktop computer equipment (BYOD model).
Physical Separation of Classified and Unclassified Equipment
Question: What is the required physical separation/isolation distance between NIPR and SIPR cabling/devices inside the podium?
Government Response: There will be no physical computers or devices stored within the podium, there will be a singular input for 1 GFE laptop or device, that the end user will bring for the audio/visual presentation. Please refer to updated statement of work.
Secure KVM Switch Requirement
Question: To switch between NIPR and SIPR at the podium, will a Secure
KVM switch be required? If so, where must it be physically located?
