About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) containing nine detailed questions and answers regarding HVAC repair and control system upgrades for Building 1 at Blue Ash ANGB. The RFI addresses specific technical details including roof top unit curb dimensions (approximately 24'3-1/2" x 7'1-1/2"), confirmation that the existing roof top unit lacks an electric heat kit, and control system upgrade specifications. Key technical requirements include upgrading all field controllers in Building 1, maintaining a Tridium-based control system with updated graphics, and installing one new additional headend unit in the same location as the existing server to control Building 1, while preserving the existing headend to control other buildings on the installation.

1. Can you please provide the existing curb dimensions for the roof top unit.
Curb dimensions are approximately 24’3-1/2” x 7’1-1/2”. This should only be used as a gross reference. Contractor is responsible for field-verifying all measurements.
2. Please confirm the existing roof top unit does NOT have an electric heat kit added to it.
The RTU does not have an electric heat kit. The building is heated with boilers.
3. Existing Control System is a Tridium Based Controls system, do you want to maintain this system, upgrade to a newer version of Tridium, or upgrade to Metasys?
We cannot specify a brand name; use the most current controls software of selected brand that is compatible with the controllers. Upgrading to a newer version of Tridium would be acceptable.
4. If upgrading Tridium, would you like the graphics to be upgraded or reuse old?
See answer to Question 3 regarding brand name specification. If Tridium is selected as the platform, graphics are to be updated.
5. Are you looking to upgrade the controls inside of just building 1 or all 5 buildings?
Just the controls for Building 1.
6. Outside of the field controller for the RTU are you looking to upgrade field controllers on any of the other equipment?
All field controllers in Building 1 are to be upgraded.
7. If so which ones and can photos of the current controllers be provided See photos provided.
8. Is there currently a server (supervisor)?
Yes. It is located in Building 2. The existing headend unit is to remain to control other buildings on the installation. One new additional headend is to be installed in the same location as the existing to control Building 1.
9. How many Jaces currently exist?
2 controllers exist. 2 Jaces would be needed to replace them.
