Mobile Storage System at Stratton ANGB, Scotia, NY Sol #: W50S8J-22-Q-0002 Questions and Answers – Site Visit held 13 January 22/10:00 AM EST

1. Q: Can you please provide the overall width, depth and height A: Shelving units must fit in an area no larger than 20' 10" W x 9ft D x 8ft H to avoid doorways, loading area, fire suppression systems, etc.

2. Q: What are the total number of mobile rows of shelving, total number of fixed rows of shelving?

A: Ideally, 4 mobile units and 2 fixed units/no less than 6 units (carriages). However, the contractor has leeway in determining the best possible solution. Please reference SON for all requested criteria.

3. Q: How many shelves per shelving unit?

A: All shelving sections should be 88 ¼” H with no less than 5 shelves/unit

4. Q: Will the customer furnish a dumpster to place the old unneeded system into or is the contractor required to take it off site?

A: The contractor will be fully responsible for disposal of the old unit/flooring material and required to take it off site.

5. Q: Will customer place the dumpster just outside the building the system resides in?

A: The customer will not be providing a dumpster

6. Q: What floor will the existing and new system reside on? Example: basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor, etc.

A: Ground level. It’s a one floor warehouse

7. Q: Does the building have a loading dock?

A: No, the building is all one level. Vehicles can drive right in like a garage.

8. Q: Will the new system have a wall to the immediate right, left and rear?

A: To the left and rear

9. Q: Any columns or pillars within the footprint of the new system?

A: Shelving units must fit in an area no larger than 20' 10" W x 9ft D x 8ft H to avoid doorways, loading area, fire suppression systems, etc.

10. Q: Could you please provide a sketch of the system or a written listing of the sizes of shelving and carriages required for this project.

A: The requirement is for a custom solution, therefore, there is no existing sketch/drawing. The dimensions and shelving requirements are provided in the

SON

11. Q: Please clarify what is required for the slip resistant flooring, i.e. VCT, rubber matting, etc.

A: There is no specific requirement

12. Q: Are steel or laminate end panels required?

A: steel would be preferred

13. Q: Please provide a sketch, pictures or a written listing of the old storage system that needs to be removed A: Pictures are attached

14. Q: Is there a loading dock or paved access to where a semi could park to offload the product A: yes, space is towards the front of the building by the garage door

17. Q: Is there a forklift available for use on site A: The requiring unit can assist with any offloading of parts/materials, but there is not a forklift available for contractor use

18. Can skids be provided to place the old system on for removal?

A. Skids can be provided

FOR

MOBILE STORAGE SYSTEM

at the

109th AW / Stratton ANG, NY

SCOPE OF WORK:

The 139th AES is in need of a mobile storage solution. Due to the limitations of available space, the Spacesaver High Density System would provide the most optimal utilization of real estate, maximizing storage potential and filing solutions for future inventory, but similar and like products will be considered. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment and parts necessary to design and install a fully functional storage solution that meets the following objectives:

Shelving system must fit into an area no larger than 20' 10" W x 9ft D x 8ft H Mobile Storage System to include:

o 1 Fixed carriage 18”D. Fixed section must be on a carriage and must include back panels for all sections o 2 Mobile carriages 36”D. 36”D carriages must include 18” back to back shelving to allow shelves to be adjusted independently o 1 Fixed carriage 24”D. Fixed section must be on a carriage and must include back panels for all sections o 2 Mobile carriages 48”D. 48”D carriages must include 24” back to back shelving to allow shelves to be adjusted independently o System capable of condensing and locking. Once condensed and locked, the system must be fully enclosed and secure. (contents should not be obtainable)

All shelving sections should be 88 1/4”H with 5 levels of shelving. Overall system height not to exceed 92” All shelving on mobile carriages must include 1 center/back stop per shelf Shelves are sturdy/resilient to wear and tear and can support a minimum of 75 lbs. each All shelves on 24”D fixed carriage must include heavy duty shelves and shelf supports capable of supporting up to 500 lbs each All shelves on one (1) 48”D mobile carriage, 24”D back to back shelving, must include heavy duty shelves and shelf supports capable of supporting up to 500 lbs each A wood subfloor must be provided for the entire mobile storage system. The entire subfloor must include a slip resistant floor covering.

Spacesaver ExpressDEK Rail System for Wheelhouse High-Density Mobile Storage

System with mechanical assist utilizing dual flange guidance. Similar products may be considered.

Mobile storage system that requires no anchoring, grouting or shimming.

Modular design providing the ability to be reconfigured and relocated.

2" high profile (50 mm) Leveled rail design to provide optimum mobile carriage performance and reliability Top surfaces of rail to provide an even walking surface with ADA compliant gaps to accommodate anti-tip carriages.

Rail joints comprised of hardened dowels and steel splice brackets to evenly transfer loads across joints and hold rails together to provide consistently smooth and reliable carriage operation.

1045 steel rail to provide a durable running surface for years of active use.

Extruded aluminum alloy rail base to provide structural support for the steel rail, while also housing the rail leveling screws and providing support for the floor panels.

Floor panels are 3/4" plywood, available in both standard and fire retardant material.

Ramps available in extruded aluminum design or a 24" plywood/steel composite ADA compliant design Minimally hazardous materials

The contractor will also be responsible for dismantling, removing and disposing of an old Spacesaver storage system (pictures attached)
