About this file

This document is a technical specification for corrugated Galvalume metal roof panels, detailing comprehensive requirements for installation, materials, and performance standards. The specification covers Galvalume steel sheet panels with AZ55 coating, minimum 28-gauge thickness, corrugated profile with 7/8" rib height, and approximately 36" width coverage, designed to meet Class A fire rating per UL 790. Fastener specifications include self-tapping hex head screws with integrated EPDM rubber washers, corrosion-resistant carbon steel with specific spacing requirements at side laps and panel ends.

The specification provides detailed installation guidelines emphasizing manufacturer instructions, proper panel alignment, corrugation overlap, and use of closure strips and sealants. Warranty terms include a minimum 20-year manufacturer's warranty on material and coating and a 5-year installer's workmanship warranty. Additional requirements include daily debris removal, panel protection during construction, preventing dissimilar metal contact, and touching up field-cut edges with manufacturer-approved coating. The document is structured in three parts: General (summary and references), Products (panel and fastener details), and Execution (installation and warranty provisions).
