About this file
This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items for office furniture requirements issued by the Illinois Army National Guard. The solicitation, W50S7T-24-Q-0006, is for a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 34 distinct line items of office furniture across various buildings and rooms. The requirements cover a range of office furniture products including desks, chairs, cabinets, countertops, and kitchenettes.
The procurement is a total small business set-aside with a NAICS code of 337214, Office Furniture (Except Wood) Manufacturing. The government intends to award a minimum of one but no more than three Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) or purchase orders. Quotes are due by 4:00 PM CST on July 3, 2024. The government will evaluate offers based on technical performance, pricing, and past performance, with technical and past performance being equally important when compared to price. Delivery is required within 180 days after order. The government will hold a site visit on June 4-5, 2024 and has indicated they will consider an additional site visit on June 17-18 or June 20-21.

Questions and Answers
1. With the site walk being tomorrow, I assume this is non-mandatory?
Answer: You are correct. No solicitation site visit is mandatory. However, if the Government is considering a proposal from a company, then it must determine whether the proposal is reasonable. I would have concerns that a proposal from a company that did not come to physically look at an office space truly understood the requirements of each of the spaces.
1. Although the question was not asked, the Government will provide this question that will eventually be posted within the solicitation via amendment. Will the Government consider alternate site visit dates?
Answer: Yes. Due to the late posting of the solicitation in conjunction with the site visits, the Government will consider a site visit the week of June 17-18 or June 20-21. However, there will not be any extension of the proposal due dates and this additional site visit must be requested. Only one of those two dates will be scheduled based on contractor response no later than close of business 6 June 2024.
To further clarify, the Government will provide one additional site visit 17-18 June from 0800-1500 CST each day. If participating, please provide all members attending site visit, as well as vehicle information no later than 1200 CST on 14 June 2024.
1. Specifically, I have a question regarding the CLIN description. Could you clarify what the designation refers to in this context? For example, in CLIN0001 - Office Furniture, B730 MXG, RM Mezzanine, I am uncertain if "B730 MXG" is a model number, a brand name, or something else.
Answer: “B730 MXG” refers to building 730 Maintenance Group. To further clarify, all CLINs (1-34) are named to denote particular buildings, units, and room number(s)/area. For your reference, additional details are provided in the attachment labeled: “Attachment 1 Office Furniture_2024 Site Visit PPT.”

1. What is the intention of award, i.e., will a contract be awarded to single contractor or multiple contract awards?

1. We are interested in providing you an RFP response for this notice however, we don’t see a Statement of Need nor drawings, only a list of CLIN’s. Can you please provide us what the end user is looking for? Office furniture, task chairs, guest seating, monitor arms, etc??? Did they perform market research or an RFI, to figure out exactly what they wanted?
Answer: Refer to “Attachment 1_Office Furniture_2024 Site Visit PPT” attachment for specific requirements broken out by CLIN. In addition, attachments are uploaded with information provided by end users. Chairs are included for situation awareness; however, quotations will not be provided with quantities listed as “x” in far-right column within each CLIN. 1. Regarding Bid W50S7T24RA0003…?
Answer: W50S7T24RA0003 or W50S7T24RA003 is not an invitation for bid (IFB). It is a request for quote (RFQ). IFB would mean that we are only considering price and has several different types of rules. We look forward to seeing your quote.
1. Does the delivery also require a lift gate?
Answer: The delivery to the loading dock by semi can come to Building 728, but a truck with a lift gate will be required to move the items from the semi to be taken to each individual building as Building 728 is the only building with a loading dock.
1. Can you provide a manufacturer or photos of the requested items?
