About this file
This document is an excerpt from a UFGS specification for Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) for Roads. It provides technical requirements for the materials, testing, and installation of HMA for road construction and repair projects. Key details include:
The specification references AASHTO and ASTM standards for asphalt binder, aggregate testing, and density testing. It requires government approval for certain submittals related to the mix design and material acceptance. Environmental requirements prohibit placing HMA on a wet surface or when the underlying surface temperature is below a specified minimum. This specification appears to be a technical appendix or attachment to a larger federal contract opportunity, rather than the full solicitation document.
