2. Can Purafil be added as an option to add to reduce gases and not be included in the base bid since there is the concern of it being cost prohibitive?

A: Goal 2: Air purification to reduce gases, odors and VOCs; this is desirable up to the point it becomes cost prohibitive, i.e. greater than 2-3 times cost of coil-only products.

3. Can a schedule of air handlers be provide to list CFM of all the air hander units?

A: Mechanical Drawings and Air Handler CFM attached SAM.GOV.

4. Can dimensions of the coils on all the Air handler Units be provided?

A: Mechanical Drawings attached within SAM.GOV.

A: LD’s will not be utilized for the subject solicitations.

6. The Solicitation posted to sam.gov for Bldg 2051 is a Draft copy. Can you provide us with a non-draft copy?

A: Error during upload. Watermark has been removed

7. The drawings for Buildings 2039 & 2051 are not to the same scale as the drawings for Building 2045. B2045 has the correct 36" x 24" scale that is typical of drawings. B2039 appears to be 11" x 17" and B2051 appears to be 8.5" x 11". Can you provide a copy of B2039 and B2051 drawings that are 36" x 24"?

A: Drawings for B2039 & B2051 have been reprinted and are attached within SAM.GOV.

9. Does toilet exhaust cleaning need to be included if it is separate from the rest of the HVAC system?

A: No.

10. Some slot diffusers are not in drop-down ceilings like the others. Do you want us to cut the ceiling and/or install an access door to access these slot diffusers for cleaning? Or do you want the best effort to clean from the nearest access point in another ceiling? Do you want the "cassette" part of the slot diffusers replaced?

A: Install an access door. Do not replace the cassette part of the slot diffusers.

11. Will all rooms be accessible when duct cleaning is scheduled to be performed? Will there be anyone to open locked doors to reach areas that need to be cleaned? Or do we need to include prices for more trips to account for inaccessible/locked areas?

A: Entry Authorization Lists will be required ahead of time to facilitate entry into secure areas. Facility managers and/or government construction managers will unlock doors to the areas that need to be cleaned.

12. If one contractor receives multiple duct cleaning awards, will a separate Superintendent be required for each building? Or can one Superintendent oversee all 3 buildings?

A: One Superintendent can oversee multiple buildings.

13. In building 2039 there is what looks like a standalone system in the main mechanical room that is labeled SA-1 on the bottom of the unit that is hanging in the air and HP1 on the big VFD controlling it. It appears this system is no longer in service. Do we need to clean any of this system since it appears disconnected and no longer in service?

A: No, you do not need to clean any of the system that is not in service.

14. In building 2039 Liebert unit room there is a visible duct door above the unit in the middle of the room. Are those the type duct doors you are wanting installed? Or is there another type of duct door that you would prefer?

A: Duct doors installed should be consistent with Industry Standards. Main concern is tight seal to mitigate possibly of air loss from the system.

15. There are some areas that appear to feed office/cubicle areas that people are working in. Will they be occupied during the time of work? If so, should these areas be worked on after hours/weekends to prevent disturbing the individuals working in those areas?
