| Site Visit & SOW 1.2.2 a |
| The SOW calls for a horn/strobe in room 117. During the site visit, we noticed there was a box in the wall about the location fo where a wall horn strobe would go with tape over it - could you please clarify if that is a box designated for the horn/strobe, or if that's there |
for different use.
ANSWER: Existing conduit/boxes may be used, however, if it is later determined that the existing location (box, conduit, wire, etc) is unsuitable, contractor is responsible for installation of new.
Site Visit & SOW 1.2.2 During the site visit we learned of an IT server room in B1217 that does not mention a need for a smoke detector per the SOW. Could you please clarify if you plan to add a smoke detector to the SOW, as it will require a separate initiate circuit to be added into the area.
Since we do not know the mission-critical level of equipment, we cannot point to the specific guidance for the requirement - however recommend referencing "TSFPEWG G 3-600-01.01-18" (per UFC 3-600-01 para 4-15.1.2) and modifying the Statement of Work accordingly based on the referenced code requirements.
ANSWER: Smoke detector is required. This room is designated as a MACIII. SOW will be updated.
