About this file

This document is a Questions & Answers file for the 140th COMM UPS Replacement federal contract opportunity (Solicitation Number W50S6V25Q0012). The Q&A provides detailed technical specifications and site-specific requirements for a Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) installation at the Colorado Air National Guard facility. Key details include a 30KVA UPS to be installed in an interior, non-environmentally controlled room, with specific spatial constraints: a 20x35 foot room area, with a UPS footprint of 4x7 feet and 8 feet high, and 10-foot ceilings. The UPS will support network equipment and data center infrastructure, connected to a 60 kilowatt diesel generator with a 5-10 second transfer time.

Notable technical requirements include SNMP network protocol for remote monitoring, no requirement for load bank testing, and the need for a drip pan under the AC unit to protect the new UPS. The contractor will be responsible for wiring the bypass and potentially relocating the existing Wall Mounted Split Unit. The contract is for a one-time supply and installation, not a multi-year maintenance agreement. A site visit was scheduled for 24 July 2025, with base access forms required by 18 July 2025 at 1200 MDT. The procurement is being conducted by the Department of the Army Colorado Army National Guard.

4. What type of equipment will the UPS support (i.e. datacenter/network equipment, building environment/climate control, lighting, etc.)?

Network equipment, data center

5. Dimensions of area where UPS will be installed 20 feet x 35 feet

6. Dimensions of footprint allowed for UPS 4 feet x 7 feet x 8 feet high

SOW?

Yes, a drip pan is necessary. Added to Statement of need
