About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) responses document for federal contract W50S6T26QA028, a fitness room renovation project, current as of July 16, 2026.
The document addresses clarifications on project scope, materials, and installation requirements. Key specifications include 2,592 square feet of interlocking 3/8-inch minimum thickness, 2x2-foot square light gray rubber slip-resistant athletic mats to be installed as floating interlocking systems. The project involves replacement of two ADA-compliant drinking fountains, replacement of an existing Christy box, installation of a backwater drain, and LED bulb replacements (bulbs only, not fixtures) in both interior and exterior areas. Painting scope covers interior and exterior portions excluding doors and roofs, with color selection and scheme requirements referenced in RFI question 22 and a paint scheme exhibit. The document confirms that ceramic tile flooring is excluded from scope, restroom facilities are available for trade use, existing exit lights remain in place, and the government will relocate gym equipment prior to project commencement. Multiple questions regarding floor leveling specifications, elevation deltas, floor drain modifications, and related details are marked as "N/A with the new SOW," indicating these items were addressed in an updated Statement of Work. As-built drawings are provided as attachments. One person may serve simultaneously as Site Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety Health Officer. LED tube type selection (Type A plug-and-play or Type B ballast bypass) is left to contractor discretion.
