Project: B118 Flooring Replacement// W50S6P24QA012
Subject: Ques ons and Answers
Date: 21 August 2024
1. Specifically, I am interested in knowing whether the vinyl composition tile (VCT) to be removed is over 30 years old and if it contains asbestos. This information is crucial for us to ensure proper safety measures and compliance with environmental regulations during the removal and disposal process. Could you please provide any details regarding the age of the flooring and the type of adhesives used? This will greatly assist us in preparing an accurate and compliant proposal.
Building 118 was constructed in 1994, with major renovations taking place between 2014 and 2015, which included replacement of most of the flooring in this project. Visual examination of the VCT and mastic does not suggest the presence of asbestos.
2. Is the contractor responsible for purchasing all supplies (i.e., LVP) or will the government provide the supplies?
All materials required to complete the project such as the flooring, cove base, adhesive etc is contractor supplied.
