From: David Donovan
1) Question: Please confirm existing Advantor panel shown on E3.1 Comm Rm 108 does not exist in this area.
Response: Confirmed. The location of the ADVANTOR panel is incorrect.
Refer to Addendum No. 1 for revised electrical drawing with location of ADVANTOR panel correctly indicated.
2) Question: Please confirm the existing Advantor panel located in Repair Bay 129 near HVAC Closet 130 will not require any work or upgrading.
Response: Refer to Addendum No. 1 for revised electrical drawing with location of ADVANTOR panel correctly indicated. Revised electrical drawings also include additional requirements regarding the existing ADVANTOR panel. The existing ADVANTOR panel provides access control for exterior vehicular and pedestrian gates. The existing panel must remain operational for the duration of this project. Contractor shall coordinate as required to maintain power and telecommunications service for this panel.
3) Question: Please confirm the existing fire alarm system can be removed prior to the new fire alarm system being installed and certified.
Response: Yes. Fire alarm system can be removed prior to installation of new fire alarm / mass notification systems.

RESPONSES TO RFI NO. 001 Page 2 of 2 Seay Seay & Litchfield, P.C. 31 July 2023
5) Question: Please give direction on Note 6 (E1.1). Note states all site lighting to be controlled by Hubbell Site Sync. No other mention of site lighting on drawings.
Response: Refer to Addendum No. 1. Note 6 is not required and has been removed from sheet E1.1.
6) Question: Drawing E3.3 shows cord reels located in Repair Bay 129. Please give a spec on the cord reel if we are to provide.
Response: Refer to drawing sheets M2.3 and M6.1.
7) Question: Drawing E3.3 shows a Control Switch for "Diesel Exhaust Hose Reel" .
Please clarify what will be required of electrical for this connection.
Response: Refer to drawing sheets M2.3 and M6.1. Provide 4-button pendulum switch for up/down control of hose reel motor and on/off fan control in the location indicated on E3.3.
8) Question: Rooms 131 & 134 on Drawing E3.3 calls for Explosion Proof Receptacles.
The lighting drawings do not show Explosion Proof devices. Please clarify the classification for these rooms so we can provide electrical as required.
Response: Refer to Addendum No. 1. Addendum No. 1 changes light fixture designations for exit signs and exit lights in rooms 131 and 134. Addendum also adds fixture type EH and XE to the fixture schedule to match explosion proof designation for these rooms indicated on E3.3. Fixture type K is required to meet Class 1, Division 2 requirements. The light fixture indicated for fixture type K on the original fixture schedule on E0.2 is a Hazardous Enclosed and Gasketed Fiberglass Extreme Environment fixture that is rated to meet the requirements for Class 1, Division 2.
9) Question: Since the Spec doesn’t call out for a specific brand of fire alarm system, is allowed to use any brand or MONACO should be the chosen one like in other buildings on base?
Response: Any system meeting the specified performance requirements will be permitted. However, the system does have to be compatible with the sole source Monaco transceiver (refer to specification section 01 6000 and Government solicitation documents) to ensure the building FA/MNS system can communicate with, and report to, the existing base wide fire alarm communication system equipment located in the base fire department.
10) Question: Detail 3/A7.2 Details a Workstation. Where is this workstation located?
Response: Refer to details 1/A7.1 and 8/A7.1. Detail 8/A7.1 is mis-labeled.
Drawing should be labeled Storage Room 116 Casework Elevation. Workstation from 3/A7.2 is located in room 116 as depicted in 8/A7.1.
