MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
FROM: 187CES/CEO
SUBJECT: RFI Responses – F-35 Temporary Facility Projects (FAKZ212035 & FAKZ212135)
1. Question: Your bldg. specification states that bldgs. no older than 2005 shall be used. There have been
MAJOR changes to the international bldg. code since 2005 concerning wall, floor and roof insulation as well as Heating and Air Conditioning systems. You may want to take another look at this.
Response: 2005 will remain as the year specified to meet project requirements.
2. Question: You reference and ADA bathrooms in your bldg. spec, but on the example drawings restrooms do not meet ADA? Doors will have to swing out since as shown you need 18” on the pull side clear of the lavatories. To swing the doors in you would need 60” from door wall to edge of lavatory, see below Response: The ADA requirement has been removed from the specifications. See attached revised specifications.
3. Question: Concerning the workstations:
a. Will some kind of a workstation layout be provided? This would be very helpful when pricing to make sure that the furniture will fit accordingly Response: Workstations will be provided by the contractor based on the configuration of the facility provided by the contractor. The facilities layouts provided in the solicitation are notional. The contractor can provide different layouts, so long as the required square footage, number of restrooms, and number of workstations are provided.

Response: Workstations are not required to be lockable
d. How many circuits would you want for electric in each workstation 2-3-4 circuit?
Response: Each workstation should have one duplex electrical outlet

Response: Yes, power poles are acceptable.
f. Who is making final electrical connections to the workstations?
Response: Contractor is responsible for providing electrical connections.
4. Question: Just to confirm you are only looking for OSHA steps for the office bldgs.? Asking because you are asking for an ADA bathroom requirement.
Response: OSHA steps are required. The ADA requirement has been remove from the Specifications.
5. Question: Just to confirm you only want an awning/canopy over each exterior door?
