About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation W15QKN-26-R-A071 issued by the Army for Glock weapons systems, spare parts, and accessories. The acquisition is structured as a sole-source procurement directly from Glock, Inc., and is not a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) set-aside. The Government specifically requires Glock weapon systems, parts, accessories, contractor spare parts, and training and will not consider alternative products from other manufacturers such as FN Herstal/FN America, regardless of technical equivalency. Required products include Glock platforms (G17, G19, G19X, G26, G43X, G17T, and G19T), associated magazines, spare parts, holsters, tools, and training. All training will be provided at Continental United States (CONUS) locations only.
The Q&A document addresses specific solicitation requirements and clarifications regarding contractor spare part (CSP) packages, parts nomenclature, and contractual obligations. Offerors are required to provide status reports within ten business days of contract award, with subsequent biweekly reports for the duration of delivery orders. The Government declined requests to amend requirements, including removal of Gen3 and Gen4 magazines, modification of status reporting frequency to monthly, and inclusion of alternative holster products. The document provides detailed guidance on parts applicability across different Glock generations (Gen3, Gen4, Gen5, Gen6) and variants, clarifying which components are included in CSP kits and which are not applicable. Part number corrections are provided for specific items, including recoil spring assemblies, magazine catch springs, holsters, and magazine pouches. The "(M)" designation denotes pistol variants configured with Maritime Spring Cups.

Glock Solicitation W15QKN-26-R-A071 Questions and Answers
Posted 24 August 2026
Q1. Our firm has strong interest in responding to the subject Notice ID for Glock weapons systems, spare parts and accessories. Just to confirm, is this procurement a sole-source WOSB set-aside? I’m finding mixed info online, saying it is a WOSB Set-Aside, but nothing on the actual SAM.gov page or documents seem to confirm that. Could you help provide more insight?
A1. Reference is made to page 3 of the solicitation which states: The acquisition approach is to solicit on a sole source basis to Glock, Inc. for the Non-Standard Weapons (NSW)/ Commercially available GLOCK weapon systems, Spare parts kits, magazines, and raining.
The awarded contract will require the delivery in accordance with the terms and conditions of the delivery orders awarded under the contract.
Q2. The solicitation states that the Government intends to issue this requirement on a sole-source basis to Glock, Inc. for the G17, G19, G19X, G26, G43X, G17T, and G19T platforms and associated magazines, spare parts, holsters, tools, and training.
Would the Government consider a competing offer proposing FN Herstal/FN America weapon systems that are technically equivalent to the specified Glock platforms, provided the proposed systems meet or exceed the Government's applicable technical, performance, training, logistics, and support requirements?
Proposed FN products would be supplied directly from the manufacturer's production facility or authorized manufacturer warehouse, rather than sourced through secondary commercial distribution. We are evaluating FN platforms that may provide comparable capabilities, together with the associated magazines, spare parts, accessories, tools, and training necessary to support the Government's requirements.
If technically equivalent products from another OEM are acceptable, please confirm whether an offer based on FN Herstal/FN America products may be submitted and evaluated under this solicitation. If alternative OEM products will not be considered, we would appreciate confirmation that offers are restricted specifically to Glock-manufactured products.
A2. Alternative products will not be considered, other products do not meet the Government’s specifications for this effort. The Government specifically requires Glock weapon systems, parts, accessories, contractor spare parts, and training directly from Glock, Inc.

Q3. I did not see holsters on the item list. Will there be a holster request? Our holster fits all of those Glock firearms so you would only need two holsters a left hand and a right hand version. Holster that CBP is using and it passed the rigorous CBP testing. Data can be provided.
A3. Reference is made to Attachment 0003-Glock Pricing Matrix which contains a list of all required weapon systems, training, individual parts and contractor spare part kits.

Q4. Status Reporting
• CDRL A001 states: “The first status report shall be provided within ten (10) business days after contract award. Subsequent reports shall be submitted every two (2) weeks thereafter for the duration of the Delivery Order.”
o We would like to request that status updates be provided monthly rather than every two (2) weeks. Orders will typically have a delivery lead time of 90 to 120 days. As a result, biweekly status updates are unlikely to provide significant changes or meaningful progress to report.
A4. The Government is not amending the requirements of the solicitation at this time.
Offerors may provide any necessary justification for their response in their submitted proposal volume as long as the solutions meet the stated requirements.
Q5. Magazines and Magazine Spare Parts
• We would like to request the removal of Gen3 and Gen4 magazines and magazine spare parts.
o GLOCK is in the process of phasing out Gen3 and Gen4 pistols, parts, and magazines. Gen5 magazines are fully compatible with Gen3 and Gen4, and are standard for Gen6, pistols; therefore, separate Gen3 and Gen4 magazines are not necessary.
A5. The Government is not amending the requirements of the solicitation at this time.
Offerors may provide any necessary justification for their response in their submitted proposal volume as long as the solutions meet the stated requirements.
Q6. Training Requirements
• Does the Army require training for both CONUS and OCONUS locations?
A6. Response: All training will be at CONUS locations.
Q7. G19 and G26 "(M)" Designation
• Attachment 0003 lists a G19 and G26 with an "(M)" designation. What does the "(M)" designator mean?
A7. The (M) denotes the pistol variant configured with Maritime Spring Cups.
Q8. Spare Parts and CSP Considerations The CSPs identified in “Attachment 0003, GLOCK Pricing Matrix v4 Suggested CSP Packages”, reflect the configurations the Army has used in the past. Under the "CSPs" section, several justifications are provided explaining why specific items are not applicable to certain CSPs. Parts:
• 30077 is the correct item number for the G21 Gen4 recoil spring assembly.
• 39543 is the exclusive part number for the magazine catch spring. Part number 280 is no longer used.
• The correct item number for the GLOCK Sport Combat Holster (Small) is 658.
• The correct item number for the GLOCK Duty Holster (Right-Hand) is 546.
• The correct item number for the GLOCK Duty Holster (Left-Hand) is 931.
• The correct item number for the Magazine Pouch (Small) is 1897.
A8. The Government is not amending the requirements of the solicitation at this time.
Q9. CSP Considerations Gen3 and Gen4
• For all G17, G19, and G26 Gen3 and Gen4 CSPs, the extractor depressor plunger, extractor depressor plunger spring, and spring-loaded bearing comprise the extractor depressor plunger assembly. Therefore, the extractor depressor plunger assembly itself is not applicable to these CSPs.
• For all G17, G19, and G26 Gen3 and Gen4 CSPs, the firing pin, firing pin spacer sleeve, and firing pin spring cups comprise the firing pin assembly. Therefore, the firing pin assembly itself is not applicable to these CSPs.
• For all G17, G19, and G26 Gen3 and Gen4 CSPs, the extended magazine floor plate, extended magazine insert, extended magazine spring (coil), firing pin spring, slide lock, and slide lock spring are not applicable.
o Note: The firing pin spring, slide lock, and slide lock spring are included in the G19 Gen4 SOCOM CSP.
Gen5
• For all G17, G19, and G26 Gen5 CSPs, the extractor depressor plunger assembly and firing pin assembly are included in the CSP. Therefore, the extractor depressor plunger, extractor depressor plunger spring, spring-loaded bearing, firing pin, firing pin spring, firing pin spacer sleeve, and firing pin spring cups are not applicable.
• For all G17, G19, and G26 Gen5 pistols, a locking block pin is not used, and the trigger spring is integrated into the trigger mechanism housing. Therefore, the locking block pin and trigger spring are not applicable.
• For all G17, G19, and G26 Gen5 CSPs, the extended magazine floor plate, extended magazine insert, extended magazine spring (coil), slide lock, and slide lock spring are not applicable.
Gen6
• For the G17 and G19 Gen6 CSPs, the extractor unit assembly replaces the extractor depressor plunger assembly. Therefore, the extractor depressor plunger assembly is not applicable to these CSPs.
• For the G17 and G19 Gen6 CSPs, the firing pin assembly is included in the CSP.
Therefore, the firing pin, firing pin spring, firing pin spacer sleeve, and firing pin spring cups are not applicable.
• For G17 and G19 Gen6 pistols, a locking block pin is not used, and the trigger spring is integrated into the trigger mechanism housing. Therefore, the locking block pin and trigger spring are not applicable.
• For the G17 and G19 Gen6 CSPs, the extended magazine floor plate, extended magazine insert, extended magazine spring (coil), slide lock, and slide lock spring are not applicable.
G19X
• For the G19X CSP, the extractor depressor plunger assembly and firing pin assembly are included in the CSP. Therefore, the extractor depressor plunger, extractor depressor plunger spring, spring-loaded bearing, firing pin, firing pin spring, firing pin spacer sleeve, and firing pin spring cups are not applicable.
• For the G19X pistol, a locking block pin is not used, and the trigger spring is integrated into the trigger mechanism housing. Therefore, the locking block pin and trigger spring are not applicable.
• For the G19X CSP, the slide lock and slide lock spring are not applicable.
G43X
• For the G43X CSP, the extractor depressor plunger assembly and firing pin assembly are included in the CSP. Therefore, the extractor depressor plunger, extractor depressor plunger spring, spring-loaded bearing, firing pin, firing pin spring, firing pin spacer sleeve, and firing pin spring cups are not applicable.
• For the G43X pistol, a locking block pin is not used, and the trigger spring is integrated into the trigger mechanism housing. Therefore, the locking block pin and trigger spring are not applicable.
• For the G43X CSP, the extended magazine floor plate, extended magazine insert, extended magazine spring (coil), slide lock, and slide lock spring are not applicable.
