About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity W15QKN-26-Q-A040 regarding a checkweigher procurement. The document does not address specific product requirements, pricing, response dates, or award information, as it contains only clarifications on equipment integration matters.
The government responses address two industry inquiries regarding checkweigher operational parameters. First, the government confirmed that units will be received by the checkweigher through gravity or alternative means via a feed machine. Second, regarding product handling, the government clarified that the feed machine will manage alignment and spacing through controlled timing of unit deposits into the checkweigher at a rate slower than the checkweigher's weighing capacity, indicating that contractors are not responsible for handling transitions, spacing, or alignment functions.

W15QKN-26-Q-A040 Checkweigher Questions from Industry & Government Responses
1. Do you have any information about what equipment will be feeding this checkweigher?
In other words, how will this unit be receiving the product that needs to be weighed?
Government Response: Units will be received by the checkweigher through gravity or other means via feed machine.
2. Do we have to handle transitions or spacing or alignment?
Government Response: The feed machine will allow for alignment and or spacing through the timing in which units are deposited into the checkweigher (at a slower rate than which the checkweigher can weigh its units).
