Q1: Specification 11.5.10 reads, “The Contractor shall completely disconnect, remove the bypass manual 4” valve located on the chilled water side located behind the Carrier Chiller. This is to be replaced with a 4” differential pressure valve. contractor to verify size needed.” Due to the unknown GPM and need to verify valve size, can we extend the bid? If so, can you advise on a new bid date?
A1: Yes, this Solicitation will be extended. All Proposals are due no later than 10:00 AM EST, March 27, 2024.
Q2: Does the owner require isolation valves on each side of the new control valves?
A2: Yes
Q3:Would the owner like us to replace the control valves on the chilled water side of the chillers to the DDC control valves as well?
A3: No, part of future project
Q4: Can an as-built drawing of the chiller piping be provided for reference?
A4: Not sure if available Q5: SOW item 11.5.3 states to provide “all engineering”. Are stamped engineered drawings required, or can we provide a marked up drawing with submittals for the intended valves and products to be used?
A5: Stamped drawings are required Q6: Please confirm if only new chilled water piping and valves require insulation.
A6: Yes only chilled water piping and valves need insulation; replace what has been removed.
Q7: If only new piping and valves require insulation on this project, is it to match the existing?
A7: Yes, new insulation is to match any that was removed

Q8: SOW Section 11.4.4 states “Contractor shall cut/create an opening in the existing building envelope to fit a new 42” wide x 84” high side man door inclusive of all framing and support system.” What is the thickness and material make-up of this existing wall?
A8: Contractor may come out to determine Q9: SOW Section 11.5.8 states “The contractor shall provide and install a new electrical sub panel in the loading dock area. Power for new panel shall originate from electrical closet panel located just behind US postal service room in loading dock.” Is there definitely a slot available in the existing electrical panel for a new, 100A circuit?
A9: Yes if contractor would like to come out and confirm that is o.k.
Q10: Sow Section 11.5.14 states “Contractor shall provide and install new door magnetic alarm devices on the new personnel door and integrate the new door into the existing alarm system.” What is the manufacturer and pertinent information for the existing alarm system, so we may properly match the components? Would it be possible to send photos of the alarm panel and its data plate?

Q11: SOW Section 11.5.1 states “Contractor shall visually inspect all fall arrest roof anchors. Contractor shall perform testing to certify that all fall arrest roof anchors are up to ANSI/IWCA 1-14.1 standards to be used by window cleaning professionals.” How long since the fall arrest roof anchors have received a full inspection / recertification?
A11: Unknown Q12: Would the government prefer a simple visual inspection of the fall arrest roof anchors, or a load test for recertification?
A12: Load test must be completed and copy sent to RFOS when conpleted
