Answer to O eror’s Questions

1. What is the voltage rating in the existing service panel that powers the current parking lot lighting? Specifically, is it 120/208V three-phase, 277/480V three-phase, or another configuration? This information is crucial for specifying the correct equipment and materials to ensure compatibility with the existing electrical infrastructure.

The intend of the job is to replace the existing electrical High Pressure Sodium Light (assume) to Solar Power LED. Contractor can disregard the existing service panel, the new solar light can be disconnected from the service panel.

2. Can you provide the as-built electrical drawings for the existing parking lot lighting system, including conduit layouts and circuit diagrams?

No, there is no as-built for the electrical drawing for the existing parking lot lighting system.

3. What is the total load capacity (in amperes) of the existing circuits dedicated to the parking lot lighting?

The total load capacity is unknown.

4. Are there any specific requirements for the color temperature (in Kelvin) of the new LED fixtures?

4000K

5. Is there a minimum required lumen output per fixture or a specific foot-candle requirement for the parking lot area?

Minimum Foot Candle requirement is two.

6. Are there any local dark sky ordinances or light pollution regulations that need to be considered in the lighting design?

No

7. Will the existing underground conduit and wiring be reused, or should we plan for complete replacement?

No, there is not any underground conduct or wiring need to be reused, if contractor is using a stand-alone solar lighting system. No need to plan for complete replacement.

8. Will the new solar-powered LED lighting system need to integrate with any existing building management or control systems?

No, the new solar LED will not need to integrate with existing building control system. The new solar powered LED lighting should have photo sensing controller. Control Requirements as follows in according to UFC 3-530-01:

9. Are there any specific requirements for the battery storage capacity of the solar-powered lighting systems (e.g., minimum number of days of autonomy)?

The solar LED should equip with 624 Wh to 1248 Wh NiMH battery.

10. Is there a preferred mounting height for the new light poles?

The pole assemblies should be round tapered aluminum 25' x 9" x .250 wall, tenon top, with 2' Slipfit arm assembly and solar mounting provisions (26'-5" MH)

11. Is there a preference for monocrystalline or polycrystalline solar panels for this project?

Polycrystalline

12. Are there any specific wind load requirements for the new light poles, given the local weather conditions?

No, the solar light system must be installed according to manufacturing guidance.

13. Is there a geotechnical report available for the site to assist in foundation design for the new light poles?

The intend of the project is to reuse the existing foundation, there is no geotechnical report needed.

14. Are there any hazardous materials (e.g., PCBs in old ballasts) that need to be considered in the disposal of the existing lighting fixtures?

Contractor shall dispose the High-Pressure Sodium Light (assume) in according to local refuges regulation.

15. Can you provide the total square footage of the parking lot area that requires lighting replacement?

Please see the following picture for the parking lot area that requires lighting replacement.

16. Are there any specific requirements for surge protection or lightning protection in the new lighting system?

No, the solar light system must be installed according to manufacturing guidance.

17. Will the government require any specific testing or commissioning procedures for the new lighting system upon completion?

Yes, make sure the solar LED is working at night and functional time/sensor control.

18. Are there any requirements for integrating the new lighting system with existing building management or security systems?

No. The new lighting system is standing alone system. Will not need to integrate with existing building management or security systems.

19. Is there a preferred or required brand for the solar-powered LED lighting poles?

There is no specific brand requirement for the lights in the SOW. Offerors are free to propose any product that meets the technical and performance requirements outlined in the solicitation.

20. Are there any specific noise limitations due to the facility's operations?

No.

21. Will the government require any specific warranties beyond standard manufacturer warranties?

The batteries have 5 years warranty provided by manufacturer. Contractor shall be responsible for minimum 1 year warranty for entire light pole system.

22. Are there any upcoming site visits or pre-proposal conferences scheduled for this solicitation?
