About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to solicitation number W15QKN-21-R-0005 for the production of 9mm marking ammunition to be used with the Close Combat Mission Capability Kit. The solicitation seeks a contractor to manufacture, test, inspect, package and deliver M1041 9mm marking ammunition to a Detailed Performance Specification. The ammunition will be used with the M9, M11 and M4 weapons systems and will be non-lethal marking cartridges that leave a visible water-soluble color on targets. Questions addressed include confirmation that electronic submission is acceptable, clarification on contract data requirements lists, evaluation of prices if unqualified ammunition is proposed, and conduct of pre-award surveys. The total contract value for small business planning purposes can be calculated as the sum of the line item quantities multiplied by the highest price ranges. The Army Materiel Command Contracting Command at Picatinny Arsenal is the issuing agency.
