About this file
This is an Addendum No. 1 issued by the Village of Homewood, Illinois for the Lead Service Line Replacement FY27 Project 1, which addresses essential procedures for replacing lead water service lines and includes flushing requirements following replacement. The addendum postpones the bid opening and due date from November 9, 2026 to November 16, 2026 at 10:00 am. The primary substantive changes include deletion of the Contractors Protective Liability insurance requirement, modification of the contract schedule to accommodate potential delays by the Village in confirming specified lead service line replacement locations until March 15, 2027 or later, and a requirement that the contractor accommodate service line replacement location changes within the Village right-of-way at no additional cost. Additionally, the addendum modifies a specification in section 01 32 33 by reducing a numerical value from seven to three, and updates prevailing wage rates for Cook County and Davis Bacon rates. The addendum includes five attachments: Bidder's Acknowledgment of Receipt, Pre-Bid Meeting Minutes, Response to Bidder Questions, updated Appendix B with Cook County Prevailing Wage and Davis Bacon rates, and a previous Homewood bid tabulation.
The addendum does not specify pricing terms, contract duration, renewal options, or funding sources. No set-asides are identified in the document. The file serves primarily as a clarification and modification document to the original solicitation materials, requiring all prospective bidders to acknowledge receipt and carefully consider the impacts of these changes on their bid submissions.
