About this file

This is a Vendor Affidavit document required by Hillsborough County Public Schools, Florida, regarding compliance with labor and coercion regulations. The affidavit requires vendors submitting quotes for the Student Nutrition Services Custom Informational Station contract to certify that they do not use coercion for labor or services. The contract opportunity itself involves providing a minimum of 136 customized informational station panels (86 three-panel stations and 50 five-panel stations) to be delivered to the SNS Warehouse. Vendors must complete and submit the affidavit as part of their quote response for this procurement opportunity.

The affidavit serves as a compliance certification document rather than containing pricing terms or contract specifics. By signing the document, vendors attest that they do not engage in any form of coercion to obtain labor or services, ensuring adherence to state and federal labor standards. This attestation is a standard requirement for public sector contracts in Florida and represents a fundamental qualification that all bidders must meet to be considered for award of the student nutrition services contract.

• restrain, isolate, or confine or threaten to restrain, isolate, or confine any person without lawful authority and against her or his will; or

• use lending or other credit methods to establish a debt by any person when labor or services are pledged as a security for the debt, if the value of the labor or services as reasonably assessed is not applied toward the liquidation of the debt, the length and nature of the labor or services are not respectively limited and defined; or

• destroy, conceal, remove, confiscate, withhold, or possess any actual or purported passport, visa, or other immigration document, or any other actual or purported government identification document, of any person; or

• cause or threaten to cause financial harm to any person; or

• entice or lure any person by fraud or deceit; or

• provide a controlled substance as outlined in Schedule I or Schedule II of § 893.03, Florida Statutes, to any person for exploitation of that person.

Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have read the foregoing document and that the facts stated in it are true.
