About this file

The document is a detailed UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) specification file from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the National Forest Service in North Carolina. The solicitation seeks four different UTV models with specific configurations: a 5-passenger, two 6-passenger, and a 3-passenger vehicle, each with comprehensive mandatory and optional specifications. Key requirements include 999 cc or greater gasoline motors, 4x4 drive systems, Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS) certification, payload capacities between 1500-1600 lbs, liquid cooling, independent suspension, and specific tire sizes. Each vehicle must meet ANSI/OPEI B71.9-2016 and ANSI/ROHVA 1-2016 standards, include a spark arrester, and be delivered to specific Forest Service locations in North Carolina. Additional mandatory options include hard roofs, windshields, bumpers, winches, and shock absorbers, with color preferences for high-visibility red. The solicitation follows a lowest price technically acceptable (LPТА) award methodology, with delivery requested as soon as possible across multiple ranger district locations.
