About this file
This solicitation is for roadway rehabilitation and resurfacing work along segments of the Auto Tour Route within Ouray National Wildlife Refuge in Utah. The project includes rehabilitation and resurfacing of approximately 1.64 miles of the northwest segment and 1.51 miles of the northeast segment of the route, with 982 feet of roadway realignment on the northeast segment away from an embankment instability area. Additionally, 0.04 miles of an adjacent Fishing Access spur will be resurfaced. New gates, bollards and signs will also be installed. The purpose of the work is to improve access to portions of the refuge during high flow periods in the Green River by providing turnaround locations that allow segments of the route to remain open when flooded. The solicitation was issued by the Federal Highway Administration to rehabilitate and improve segments of the Auto Tour Route for continued safe access within Ouray National Wildlife Refuge.
