Question and Answers for BAAST Appendix E
1 - Question: Is there a website link to the SAVANT software tool being used?
1 - Response: There is no website where interested parties can learn about the Enterprise SAVANT on open Internet. However, the following is a summary of the capabilities of Enterprise SAVANT:
Enterprise SAVANT is a military-specific software tool that facilitates all phases of the seven-step Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Process. SAVANT standardizes the complex process in accordance with current military doctrine and streamlines and automates the process. This includes research of target audiences for influence operations, planning MISO programs, designing MISO products to produce the desired effects on those audiences, and producing consistent and easily understood planning documents to decision-makers for approving MISO programs. SAVANT includes a number of analytic models and presentation templates to maximize intellectual capital and ensures analytical rigor for military MISO planners and decision-makers.
SAVANT helps critical thinking about audiences, arguments, and media types for MISO influence programs, aids scheduling and coordination of MISO products in the program, and supports streamlined production of MISO product worksheets for approval.
2 - Question: Are there specific shortfalls MISO is encountering with
SAVANT?
2 - Response: What we are asking for on BAAST 2015, Appendix E, are essentially enhancements to an already mission-capable system; however, we are always looking for better fidelity in analyzing target audiences and sharing information with the broadercommunity. The shortfalls are as already described in the BAA Appendix E.
