About this file
This Statement of Work details requirements for replacing and repairing floating docks at Grassy Pond and Mission Lake for the 23d Force Support Squadron. The project involves three replacements and three repairs of floating docks damaged by Tropical Storm Debby and Hurricane Helene.
The replacements include: a 75'x6' T-shaped floating dock with 10' entry ramp and handrails on the East Trail; a 75'x6' floating dock with 5' entry ramp without handrails near Building 2019; and a 35'x6' floating dock with 12' entry ramp without handrails for the boat launch. All new docks require galvanized steel framework, polyethylene floats, and embedded pilings. The repairs involve three T-shaped floating docks: one behind the boat storage area requiring deck board securing and handrail repairs; one at Mission Lake MAFB needing walkway straightening and handrail repairs; and another at Mission Lake requiring handrail repairs and piling extensions. The contractor must provide all equipment, handle demolition and disposal, and offer a standard 1-year warranty. Work is to be performed at 5360 Grassy Pond Rd, Lake Park, GA 31636 and Mission Lake MAFB.

23 FSS strives to meet the needs of our customer base. Grassy Pond currently has 5 floating docks in need of replacement and/or repair and Mission Lake (MAFB) currently has one (1) floating dock in need of repair due to Tropical Storm Debby and Hurricane Helene damage.
Grassy Pond and Mission Lake are not able to fully supply the demand for floating docks to our customers due to the damage sustained by each of them.
