About this file
This is a roofing specification document from Table Rock State Park for the replacement of roof systems on five historic cabins. The project involves replacing existing asphalt shingle roofs on cabins TR-C2, TR-C5, TR-C6, TR-C7, and TR-C8, which were constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps and are listed on the National Historic Register. The scope of work includes complete removal of existing roofing materials, replacement of any damaged roof decking, installation of synthetic underlayment, reflashing and sealing of all flashing, installation of ice and water shields and leak barriers, installation of starter course shingles, and installation of 30-year architectural shingles in a barkwood color. The new roofing system must meet manufacturer specifications and include ridge vent installation, pipe and vent flashing replacement, disposal of all waste materials, and nail magnetization of work areas.
Bidders must provide separate line item pricing for materials, roof decking replacement beyond an included quantity, waste disposal, and labor costs, with a total bid price provided at the conclusion. The specification requires that any roof decking replacement beyond the quantity included in the initial bid must receive approval from the park's onsite representative before proceeding. An installation diagram is referenced as a representative guideline for the roofing system installation.
