About this file
This is a Rigging Plan drawing for the Goodrich Area Schools Auditorium theatrical draperies and rigging updates project located at 8029 S Gale Rd. in Goodrich, Michigan. The plan, drawn by Russ Blain of R. Blain Consulting LLC and issued for final bidding on September 10, 2026, specifies the installation and repositioning of 16 theatrical pipes and associated rigging systems throughout the auditorium. The base bid scope includes installing new operating lines, tensioners, and carriers; installing new soft goods; resetting border trim per owner instructions; and installing a Thern "Pilewind" Hoist System on one designated pipe. The project also includes two optional additive items: ADDER #1 for installing an additional hoist system on one pipe, and ADDER #2 for installing hoist systems on two additional pipes. As part of the base bid, contractors must also install previously removed scenic track and pipe systems in designated locations. The plan details pipe configurations including main valance, traveler, electric, border, scenic traveler, black traveler, and cyclorama pipes with specific spacing and trim requirements.
The drawing indicates that detailed specifications for the Thern "Pilewind" Hoist System installation are contained in Section 11 61 33 Appendix A and Drawing TR-1. Pipes without approved additive items are to remain dead-hung in their existing positions. The plan was subject to multiple revisions between August 31, 2026 and September 10, 2026 for final team review before being released for bidding and installation. The project is identified as PROJECT #AUD2026 with the consulting firm contact located at Overlake Street, Saint Clair Shores, Michigan.
