Town_of_Manchester_2023_Holiday_Calendar.pdf

The document is an official 2023 Holiday Calendar issued by the Human Resources Department of the Town of Manchester, Connecticut. The calendar lists 14 holidays during which town offices will be closed, including New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington's Birthday, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Holiday, and a floating holiday. The holiday dates are specified with their corresponding days and dates for the 2023 calendar year.

The calendar includes a notable provision regarding Lincoln's Birthday, where the Town retains discretionary rights to substitute the traditional holiday date, provided they notify employees by December 31st of the preceding year. This floating holiday option allows the Town flexibility in scheduling while maintaining the spirit of observing Lincoln's Birthday. The document is a standard municipal holiday calendar that provides clear guidance to town employees about scheduled office closures and observed holidays throughout the 2023 calendar year.
