About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Task Order #1 under IDIQ subcontract #382472-BM for scaffolding services supporting the Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility (LBNF) / Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) project at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The work will be performed underground at the SURF (Sanford Underground Research Facility) site located at 100 Ross Road, Lead, South Dakota, specifically at the 4850' and 4910' levels. The five-month project has an estimated installation date of January 1, 2027, and a removal date of June 1, 2027, with specific schedules to be coordinated directly between the subcontractor and FFDG (Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC) Technical Representative.

The subcontractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation for design, rental, delivery, installation, and removal of vertical/supported scaffolding meeting specific dimensions: 25ft–30ft width by 57ft–70ft height by 15ft–20ft depth, configured to accommodate a platform installation of 20 ft. 4 in. width by 57 ft. 4 in. height by 12 ft. 5 in. depth. The scaffolding must include stairs rather than ladders, rest platforms at minimum 20-foot intervals, standard safety railings, and be secured to cavern walls. The subcontractor is responsible for determining engineering requirements and must provide stamped design drawings for Fermilab approval prior to installation. Deliverables include scaffolding details and price proposal, stamped design drawings, delivery/installation/removal schedule, qualified lead contact information, required ESH and QC documents, technical requirements, and assignment of specific ID numbers for each scaffold with entries in a location log. All documentation must be submitted via Procore (FFDG's cloud-based management system) in searchable PDF format, with the Scaffold Location/Detail Log accompanying invoices as backing documentation for all charges.
