Alternate Bed Items: Priority 2
A2.1 Auxiliary Systems: Bilge Box Screening and Hatch
Description: The bilge box is open to the Engine Room and has no grating over the inlet. The lack of grating over the inlet enables entry of larger debris that could damage the bilge pumps, and the lack of watertight cover creates a risk of water ingress and/or flooding. The Contractor shall:

Description: While anchors and winches are removed for paint and for foundation replacement, the Contractor shall remove chain from anchor winches. The chain shall be retained and delivered to the Owner. The Contractor shall service the anchor winches (2) and the bow gate winches (2), then reinstall at completion of the painting and foundation replacement. The Owner will provide new chain and the Contractor shall spool the chain onto the winches and reconnect the painted anchors. The Owner will provide new bow gate door blocks.
A3.2 Fuel System
Description: The vessel's fuel system includes two double bottom fuel tanks total capacity 5,000 gallons. These are fed by a stainless-steel supply, distribution, and return manifold with USCG approved hoses in the Engine Room.
The fuel manifold and piping require evaluation and repair to ensure proper and equal flow to/from both tanks.
The return piping currently only distributes to the port side double bottom tank, resulting in uneven distribution and an unwanted list of the vessel.
The Contractor shall propose a preliminary diagnosis and workable solution for modifying the fuel tank piping to equalize the return diesel from the engines to both tanks. The Contractor selected will be given the opportunity to troubleshoot the system, further diagnose the issue, and if needed, propose an alternate repair plan to the Owner.
