About this file
The document is a report from International Inspection LLC detailing the results of an ultrasonic gauging survey conducted on the vessel THUNDERBIRD for The Glosten Associates. The survey assessed the main deck plating, bin walls, wind and water strakes, girth belts, bottom plate in the engine room, and transom plating of the vessel while it was on a travel hoist at Pacific Marine Center in Anacortes, Washington. The owners were represented by Mr. Andrew Girdler during the survey.
The related state and local contract opportunity is a Request for Qualifications and Quotations (RFQQ) issued by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission (WSPRC) seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide refurbishment and repair of the 75' MV Thunderbird vessel. Substantial completion of this project must be completed by March 4, 2022 in order for the vessel's operational work to commence on March 21, 2022. The RFQQ involves multiple jurisdictions in Washington state including King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, Kitsap, Pierce, and Jefferson counties, as well as the cities of Kingston and Snohomish.
