About this file
The document is a Ten-Year Funding Limit attachment for the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program, detailing critical funding restrictions for grant applicants. The attachment specifies that a coalition may not receive more than 10 years of DFC funding, with specific limitations including: a Legal Applicant cannot serve as a Fiscal Agent for a coalition that has exhausted its funding limit, and a coalition applying as its own Legal Applicant can receive funding for no more than 10 years total. Applicants must certify compliance by signing and dating the document, affirming they have not violated the funding restrictions.
This funding limit document is directly related to the Drug-Free Communities Support Program, a federal grant initiative administered by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The program aims to establish community collaborations to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth, with grants typically ranging from $125,000 to $375,000 annually. The current fiscal year (FY) 2025 solicitation seeks applications from various entities including local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community coalitions, with a focus on implementing evidence-based prevention strategies across 12 community sectors and targeting at least two substances of concern.
