About this file

The "Ten-Year Funding Limit.docx" is a compliance document for the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program that outlines strict funding restrictions for community coalitions. The document specifies that a coalition cannot receive DFC funding for more than 10 years, with specific limitations on legal applicants and 501(c)(3) coalitions, including prohibitions on continued funding after reaching the ten-year limit. The document requires the legal applicant to sign and date an assurance certifying compliance with these funding restrictions.

This funding limitation is part of the broader DFC Support Program, administered by the Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for Fiscal Year 2025. The program aims to establish and strengthen community collaborations to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth (18 years and younger), with two primary statutory goals: fostering collaboration among various governmental and non-profit entities and reducing substance abuse risks by promoting protective community factors. The grant opportunity falls under CFDA Number 93.276 and is designed to support community coalitions in their substance abuse prevention efforts.
