About this file

Exhibit A-2 - Surcharge Certification is a document related to a competitive solicitation from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) for a Pavement Data Collection Vehicle (Profilometer). The solicitation is seeking up to three contract awards for a nine-year term. Bidders must certify whether they will assess surcharges at the time of order, at the time of shipment, or not at all. If assessing surcharges, the bidder must specify the schedule (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or case-by-case) and the suppliers/indices used to determine the surcharges.

The contract opportunity covers multiple jurisdictions within the state of Washington, including counties, cities, and census-designated places. Pricing terms indicate that surcharges shall be used only to cover increased costs of production and not to increase profits. Bidders may be required to provide proof of surcharges upon request.
