About this file

This document contains a draft request for proposals from the Internal Revenue Service for logistics services and a required list of data elements for an automated management information and inventory system and work order processing system. The IRS requires a contractor to provide logistics services including warehousing, transportation, repairs, and work order processing to support approximately 88,000 IRS employees located at around 500 offices throughout the contiguous United States. The contractor must maintain a fully automated management information and inventory system with the required data elements listed, such as product information, locations, quantities, costs, and maintenance records. The system must also allow for work order processing, tracking requests and orders, costs, cycle times, and shipments. The performance period is anticipated to be five years.
