About this file

This is a Taste Test Worksheet document prepared by the South Dakota Department of Education's Division of Child and Adult Nutrition Services for evaluating processed egg products submitted by vendors responding to RFP #25RFP18004. The worksheet is designed to assess up to four varieties of the same food product type through standardized sensory evaluation criteria. Each product submission must include manufacturer information and code numbers, with evaluation occurring across four sensory dimensions: smell, appearance, texture, and taste. The evaluation framework allocates a maximum of 20 points per product, with individual criteria scored on a five-point scale (5 = Very Good through 1 = Very Bad). The document includes space for evaluator comments on each product tested. This taste testing component represents 15 points of the overall 100-point evaluation criteria specified in the RFP, with mandatory sample submissions of 15 servings for each of the six required end products due to five designated schools by December 8, 2025, prior to the proposal deadline of December 22, 2025.

The accessibility report indicates the document was last updated on August 8, 2024, and was created by the South Dakota Department of Education data management office. The document passed 13 of 13 applicable accessibility checks with two items requiring manual verification regarding logical reading order and color contrast, reflecting compliance with accessibility standards for procurement documentation.
