About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines requirements for crane rental with operator services at the Bakersville Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) to support the replacement of ten cab glass windows. The work will occur from February 22-March 3, 2025, covering 10 consecutive days including weekends, with specific requirements for a mobile crane capable of lifting/lowering 12-foot tall cab glass units at heights of up to 72 feet above ground level.

The technical specifications require the crane to handle loads up to 4,000 pounds with a lift radius of approximately 110 feet and not exceed 65% crane load capacity or 126 feet tip height. The vendor must provide detailed CAD drawings showing crane positioning, a comprehensive lift plan, and documentation of operator certifications. The related market survey (Pre-solicitation 6973GH-25-01460) from the FAA seeks capability statements from all business sizes by January 24, 2025, to determine if the opportunity will be set aside for small businesses. Vendors must detail their experience, services provided, and past performance, with responses submitted to Bryon Nolan at the FAA.
