About this file
This document is a Presolicitation Notice for a Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) contract for Coso Steam Flow Verification. The requirement is for independent verification of steam flow rates between Coso geothermal projects, involving collecting steam flow samples at Coso geothermal sites and analyzing them in the contractor's laboratory. The contract will have a 12-month base period with four one-year option periods, to be performed at the Naval Air Weapons Station in China Lake, California. The procurement is planned for sole source award, as market research indicated no adequate competition, with the NAVFAC EXWC small business office concurring in this determination. The Request for Proposal (RFP) number is N3943026R0004, with the proposal closing date still to be determined, and the contract is classified under NAICS code 541380 for Testing Laboratories and Services.
