About this file

This is a bid proposal form for the Suffolk Drive Drainage Improvements project issued by Greenville County, South Carolina. The project encompasses drainage system improvements in the Richmond Hills subdivision off North U.S. Highway 25, involving demolition and removal of existing trees, fences, walls, and pavement, followed by installation of new storm drainage lines and catch basins. Replacement work includes new driveways, fences, and asphalt pavement, with site stabilization through fine grading and grass seeding or pine straw application. The bid schedule contains 28 line items including mobilization/demobilization, clearing and grubbing, asphalt and concrete demolition, excavation work, pipe installation (15" HPP, 24" HPP, 30" HPP, and 29"X42" aluminum arch pipe totaling 220 linear feet), yard inlets, PVC sewer service lines, riprap installation, seeding, fencing (wood privacy and galvanized chain link), and temporary erosion control measures. Bidders must commence work within the timeframe specified in the Notice to Proceed and substantially complete the project within 90 consecutive calendar days, with liquidated damages assessed at $150 per day for each day beyond the completion deadline.

The bid proposal requires bidders to submit unit prices and total prices for each line item to establish the project total bid amount. Bidders must certify that their bid was developed independently without consultation or agreement with competitors. Required bidder information includes legal entity name, signature, printed name, corporate seal (if applicable), mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, South Carolina Contractors License number, Federal ID number, and South Carolina Sales Tax number. The County will provide construction staking, lines, and grades, therefore no separate bid item exists for staking services. All work essential to contract completion must be paid through identified bid schedule items, with no direct payment for work not specifically listed. Failure to complete and return the signed proposal form will render the bid non-responsive and ineligible for award consideration.
