About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) for market research on Small Uncrewed Aerial System (sUAS) research and development. The RFI seeks information on five specific lines of effort: Hardware, Software, Communications, Sensors, and Kinetics, which align with five operational missions including Long Range One Way Attack, Air Interdiction, Medium Range One Way Attack, Air Launched Effects, and Medium Range Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance. This is not a solicitation for proposals and does not obligate the Government to acquire any products or services or provide payment. The Government intends to use responses to inform acquisition strategies, statements of work, statements of objectives, and performance specifications for potential future procurement.
Responses are due no later than 30 November 2026 at 1700 Eastern Time and must be submitted via email to the four listed points of contact. Each response should include a detailed three to five page unclassified capability paper, technical descriptions of current capabilities, responses to the Focus Questions attachment, and may include demonstration videos not exceeding three minutes. Vendors may address one, some, or all five lines of effort. The Government will conduct vendor oral presentations between 7-16 December 2026 via MS Teams, with selection at the Government's sole discretion based on agency needs. Questions regarding the RFI, processes, or lines of effort must be submitted by 06 November 2026 at 4:00 PM Eastern Time using the Vendor Question Log attachment; consolidated responses will be posted to sam.gov by 20 November 2026. Market research activities are anticipated to occur from September through November 2026 in the Greater Dayton, Ohio area.
