a) BACKGROUND LEV VORTAC (29°10'30.95"N, 90° 6'14.29"W) Contractor shall install a new VORTAC, per the drawing package and the specification sheet. The contractor will install lightning protection system for the towers and the building as per FAA specifications. These specifications, along with the accompanying drawings, describe the requirements for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) VORTAC in Leeville, Louisiana. Contractor will comply with all procedures, and regulations of the city.

b) SCOPE OF WORK The new LEV VORTAC will have an elevated platform with the deck at 32’ 5”. Contractor is responsible for providing all necessary personnel, tools, and equipment to construct a new VORTAC located in Leeville, Louisiana, per the engineering drawings attached. Review Site Detail Specification document for all pertinent information.

c) SPECIFICATIONS Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment material, supplies and transportation required to perform the work, including erection or installation of items, all in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications.

d) GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

a) The FAA, before installation, must approve all materials used.

b) Contractor will stage work in a manner that minimizes outage time.

c) All shutdowns and cutovers shall be coordinated with and scheduled by local FAA Air Traffic Management with 30 days of anticipation.

d) Contractor shall repair any damage done by them to any entity at their cost. Contractor shall be covered by minimum locally required liability.

e) Contractor must provide FAA with a safety and security plan before work begins. (1) Due to the remote location of this facility, extra precautions shall be established. Plan will include procedures for accident prevention, emergency procedures, phone number & map to nearest emergency medical facility.

f) Contractor's Superintendent shall be present at the work site during all times work is performed. Superintendent shall carry a cell phone and be prepared to make and receive calls to & from the FAA at all times while on work site.

e) WORK HOURS AND CONDITIONS The Contractor will be subject to all laws and regulations that apply to persons on State of Louisiana property and landowner regulations.

b) Work will be done between 7:00AM to 5:30PM. Monday through Friday. Unless otherwise noted.

c) Saturday, Sunday, & Overtime work will only be allowed to expedite work in case of schedule setbacks.

d) Contractor will report & coordinate each day’s work in advance with the onsite FAA COR.

e) All work will be inspected and approved by an FAA Resident Engineer.

f) LOCATION

The LEV VORTAC facility is located 8.9 miles West of Grand Isle. The site was impacted by Hurricane Ida and has been demolished. The GPS position coordinates for the site are 29°10'30.95"N, 90° 6'14.29"W
