It was recently encountered that clean runoff from approximately 35 2” PVC schedule 40 hangar door drains are discharging to the IW drainage system. The runoff is not classified as Industrial Waste and therefore must be diverted to the storm drainage system.

The header shall drain to a sump pit installed by the contractor. The sump pit shall have a sump pump capable of pumping the runoff to a nearby 4” roof drain. The sump pit must be minimum 30 gallons and have a cover that shall be installed to eliminate any tripping hazards.
