About this file
This is a Statement of Need for an automotive truck drive-up lift required by the 22nd FSS/FSWT at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas.
The 22nd FSS/FSWT requires procurement of one (1) heavy-duty, four-post drive-on vehicle lift with runway spacing configured for variable truck wheelbases. The lift must have a minimum rated lifting capacity of 30,000 lbs and include two (2) coordinating pneumatic rolling bridge jacks, each with a minimum 12,000 lbs capacity, operating at no greater than 150 PSI using standard shop air pressure. Dimensional constraints specify a maximum overall length of 35.5 feet (including approach runways/ramps) and maximum exterior width of 13.5 feet, with drive-through clearance accommodating a standard 10-foot-wide garage bay door entrance. Power requirements are 230v/30 Amps, single phase.
The contractor is responsible for safe decommissioning, disassembly, and removal of the existing lift currently occupying the designated bay, with all materials disposed of in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Initial assembly, structural installation, utility connection, and operational testing are contractor responsibilities; however, the contractor is not required to provide recurring or annual ALI safety inspections, with the government assuming full responsibility for subsequent inspections and preventative maintenance. The contractor shall provide a minimum one-year warranty covering all defects not caused by government damage or misuse, with defective equipment replaced at no cost to the government. Delivery must be completed no later than 60 calendar days after receipt of order. The contract requires elimination of Class I ozone-depleting substances in all products and services, specifically prohibiting Halons, CFCs, carbon tetrachloride, methyl chloroform, and methyl bromide.
