About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity FA462126Q0041 concerning FY26 Auto Hobby Shop Lift Replacement on the FSS (Federal Supply Schedule).
The document addresses three specific questions regarding equipment specifications for the lift replacement. The Government clarified that it is not identifying any specific manufacturer, model, or brand name for the scissor-type lift replacement. Instead, any proposed equipment must meet or exceed the specifications listed in the Statement of Need and must have a minimum 25,000 lb capacity. The Government explicitly rejected an alternative proposal for a 25,000+ lb drive-on four-post lift, confirming that the operational intent is solely to replace the existing scissor lift with a similar/like-item, and four-post lifts will not be accepted. The Government also confirmed it is not interested in receiving pricing for specific manufacturers such as PKS Lifts, maintaining an open and competitive procurement approach based on specifications rather than brand or model requirements.

Q&A - FY26 – 22 FSS Auto Hobby Shop Lift Replacement
Q8. Can the Government identify a specific manufacturer/model or brand name/equal scissor-type lift that meets the minimum 25,000 lb capacity requirement?
Answer: The Government is not requesting or identifying any specific manufacturer, model, or brand name. The intent is solely to replace the existing scissor lift with a similar/like-item. Any proposed equipment must simply meet or exceed the specifications listed in the Statement of Need.
Q9. If no commercially available 25,000 lb scissor-type lift is available, would the Government accept a 25,000+ lb drive-on four-post lift that meets the remaining dimensional, electrical, capacity, and rolling bridge jack requirements?
Answer: No. While the Government originally requested a four-post lift, it has been determined that the operational intent is only to replace the existing scissor lift with a similar/like-item. A four-post lift will not be accepted for this requirement.
Q10. Are you interested in receiving pricing for the exact item from PKS Lifts?
Answer: Please see the answer to question #8.
